Question about ARS
I was just at one of their sites, and the exit was to a sextracker dialer
http://www.bootycollege.com/frs.php Do webmasters get paid on dialer exits? |
nope :(
|
Maybe it's something new.. LOL..
|

well, lots of sponsors make most of their money on chained exits, other programs and dialers... i guess ars needs some fast cash :) everyone plays such tricks now and then. |
the funny is that the webmasters of the board some weeks ago voted ARS in a poll as the best sponsor. I vote ARS among the worse ones for ME.

The dialer exit you're referring to is only displayed for foreign IP addresses, or those users surfing through an anonymous proxy. This is nothing new, it's been in place over 8 months now with no changes.

But I assure you that I'm not on a proxy nor am I on a foreign IP, in fact, I'm on the same IP block as GFY is. |

I always liked ARS tours. Even when I am not a big ARS fan. I think they have some of the nicest tours out there, at least the majority of the sites I have seen. They have what, 2000 paysites now? I can't know them all. |
Lens,
Can you send me your IP block so I can check with Sextracker on why it's getting directed to the dialer page please: [email protected] Thanks |

I used to defend ARS but I stopped doing that a while ago. |
I got the dialler too. Seems UK counts as forgeign as well. Last I checked we were speaking almost the same language as the USA and certainly spend as much per head on porn.

Well duh, UK is UK, not US. F O R E I G N. |
Well duh yourslef. The idea of filtering foreign traffic is because it does not convert on English sites well. Seems fucking daft to me to filter UK traffic was the point I was making. If you're filtering UK traffic as foreign it's certainly not me who's the idiot
|
who was this about?
All Ready Shaved? heard they're great. about as great as my next project revshave.com sounds like ars busted again or business as usual you decide ltrz |

You sometimes gotta wonder what the fucks the matter with people on boards generally when there's so many assholes around can't offer anything constructive except childish comments. My original post was trying to make what I considered to be a valid point and now there's two assholes decide to act like little kids and rather than offer any constructive comments start childish insults. Oh well - I'm away for a few days so you children play amongst yourselves. |

Of course UK is more profitable on a credit card processor for the front end, but the exit console if a different story. Every program has their own business model. Many of the larger ones use exit revenue to pay such high rates to webmasters for initial sales. The bottom line is the amount of revenue you get out of the program compared to the amount of traffic you put in. |

Wiredoctor - I highly doubt everyone who has posted on this thread in the US has been redirected to a dialer. I just tested the link 20 times and got our exit console EVERY time. We are in the process of changing nothing as we've been 'caught' (as you like to put it) of nothing. However, we have communicated with Money Tree (who runs the country redirection) to verify that their software is running correctly...
The facts are ARS pays on approx 65% of the traffic that hits our exits. We retain roughly 35% via our sponsor links and foreign dialer redirection (redirection on EXIT only). The dialer is made to pop on foreign countries that have shown to have poor exit value via normal credit card payment sites. The dialer has been in place over 8 months and was communicated to our webmasters as that time. :) Back to NHL Playoffs - GO WINGS! |
Wings lost in OT. We have some Canadians here who are happy, even though I am originally from the Detroit area.
Anyway, it sounds like sextracker's country detection is faulty (not surprised), I'm sure ARS wouldn't want to dump US traffic to a dialer. ARS is a good program, I'm not sure why some guys are dumping on it. Like I said before, I go to almost all major programs to see what they are doing and if we should do the same. I have to do that, because no one calls me and gives me advice (except FM). |
Lens - those damn Wings hehe You are originally from Gross Pointe if I remember? Well Detroit will still win the series 4-2 Hopefully the rest of the series doesn't have all the wierd goals that there was in this game.
BTW - I never get phone calls either, sheesh :winkwink: |
you're gonna get an urgent call very soon since you owe last month's fees to Boneprone family and the photos of your cars you promised some time ago in another thread.
|
That is right - I do have to get some damn pics of my cars. I'll have to turn that into this weekends fun project. I pick up the GT 500 from being bored, balanced, and blue printed... I'm so excited :)
