Drinking socially I don't get this
 

Why on personal ads is there a choice for drinking "drinks socially"?

Why would someone only drink alchohol in social settings, i thought that was done in highschool. Either you like to drink or you don't.

Because of the lack of option for "i drink by myself"

It means - 'if everyone else does it, i'll do it too'

Some people only drink when they go out with friends, or on special occasions.

I only eat when i go out with friends, or on special occasions. Again either you like it or you don't.

It means they're not alcoholics.

Drinking socially means "sure I guess I'll have a drink". It typically means 1 or 2 drinks. Someone who "likes to drink" will invite others out drinking, will always have a drink, and will usually have numerous drinks.
