The nine Satanic statements: These form the core of the Church of Satan beliefs. They were written by Anton LaVey. In abridged form, they state that Satan represents:

Indulgence, not abstinence.
Vital existence, not spiritual pipe dreams.
Undefiled wisdom, not hypocritical self-deceit.
Kindness to those deserving of it, not love wasted on ingrates.
Vengeance, not turning the other cheek.
Responsibility to the responsible, instead of concern for psychic vampires.
Man as just another animal - the most vicious of all.
Gratification of all ones desires.
The best friend that the Christian Church has had as he has kept it in business for centuries.

The nine Satanic sins are:

Stupidity, pretentiousness, solipsism, self-deceit, herd conformity, lack of perspective, forgetfulness of past orthodoxies, counterproductive pride, and lack of aesthetics. 7

Satanism is very intriguing. I recently read much of the satanic Bible.

Okay, it was me who said that ^^^^.

It really is a very interesting read, I read thru a lot of it a few years ago... Its very 'real life' based. If I were to actually say I followed any one set of beliefs it would have to be "the church of Satan" ones since they cross over a lot of what I already believe...

Agree with all but that one. Many times turning the other cheek is the best option.

I own and have read The Satanic Bible a few times. Makes a lot of sense, but I still would never call myself a Satanist. "Satanist" is such a harsh and unforgiving word to describe a hedonistic way of life.
