I met Al in New York years ago. He had just opened his restaurant 'Grandpa's'. He was tall and husky. Strong handshake and sharp witted. It was an honor to meet him. He had some of the funniest lines in television history. The Munsters is a legendary classic as was his first show 'Car 54 Where Are You?'. One of the true showman greats for sure! I didn't remember that he was a pro basketball hopeful when he was younger and spent years as a top scout for pro basketball teams.
