Guys Gone Wild - Who is the target audience?
 

I have been seeing commercials for this Guys Gone Wild, an obvious off-shoot of Girls Gone Wild, but I honestly can not figure out what the target demographic is . . . chicks or gay guys.

If the target audience is gay guys I wonder how many of those guys would have even participated.

If it is for chicks, do these guys realize how gay they appear in the commercials?

Have you seen the ads, what do you think?

They might as well call it Gays Gone Wild.

funny.. i am watching south park right now and that commercial has came on a few times. it definately looks like gay guys doing gay shit. i am not a girl, but i think on the whole, straight girls are not into gay guys.

Women will watch the infomercial too, but I doubt they'll be buyers to the extent of the men, if at all.

I don't think this really qualifies as porn . . . any more than Girls Gone Wild is porn, in fact probably even less than Girls Gone Wild.

i could be wrong, but i did stop to watch the ads and the same questions went through my mind. first i thought "makes sense, surprised this was not done sooner" - then "hmmm... this looks like something oriented towards the gay market, not women"

after watching it for the 3rd time, it seemed to me that the guys they showed were gay. but then again, i am not a turd burgler and can't claim any special talent for picking them out in a crowd. but all the shower stuff seemed more gay. otherwise it would be sweaty guys doing something physical probably to attract women.

one thing is for sure. they will make money no matter what :)

I would imagine primarily guys. Though girls are occasionally known to purchase gay porn.

I saw the commercial during South Park last night too. A few months/years? ago my gf found a tape of the same sort of content. Don't think it was official Guys Gone Wild or not, but she thought it was funny, but in no way attractive.

The commercials I saw definitely looked like they were aimed at the gay market, but is South Park a good time slot to be advertising on for that market?

I havent seen the commercial. But i can imagine what it would be like. And i for sure wouldnt buy it. I'd say it was marketed towards the gay market, and they may get a few older women buying it too

I think it is for whoever will buy it... Yes, I am sure some NakedSword members would love it, but I also think some women would buy it... the same ones who go to Chippendale and etc! All I know is the shit sells! So good for them!
