Wisdom Teeth Need to come out!

I've been putting it off for way too long, and now they're actually coming "in." I've been in pain for two solid days and it's getting worse. The only thing I'm seriously worried about is there is a nerve right by one of the teeth that apparently controls my lips or some such, and the DDS said my smile might be affected, but he can't tell because X-Rays are two dimensional so he can't tell how close the nerve actually is. :( :(

Anyone else have experience with a situation like this?

Ring up www.davecourtney.com and call him a wanker. He will then do it free of charge.

I'm one of the lucky people that never grew wisdom teeth

Damn! Good luck with it!

I havent had any nerve issues but I do have one that's growing in all sideways that hurts like a bitch almost all the time for the last 3 weeks. I'm getting it pulled in the next week so I feel for you.

You should get a good supply of norco from all of it though. :thumbsup

I had to get mine removed, they were impacted. The drugs were good and I am glad that I finally got them out. Your in some discomfort for about a weekend. So best is to get it done on a friday that way you can relax all weekend.

Welcome to Canada. They give me a handful of Tylenol 3's and some extra gauze. That's it. So now I just need to find someone to babysit me for the weekend while I moan and bellyache.

I had only 2 grow in and pulled last year..It all depends if they are impacted and then the trouble starts

Get it done. My dentist kept bitching to the point where I finally caved and did it. I'm glad I did but I should have opted for the general anesthetic. It was nearly triple the price since it was pretty complicated if I was under so I went for the local. Hurt like a motherfucker! I needed 17 injections (not full needles, just punctures) to put my entire jaw to sleep. The extraction was painless, but those shots hurt. Oh and the gagging feeling, I was straddling that sink about to vomit a couple times.

I wanted one too but that would have meant an ortho surgeon would have to do it and with the complications I was looking at (one of the teeth was badly impacted that they'd need assistant's and some extra help to hold me down) I was strongly recommended to get local. During the local, I saw why, the dentist was twisting and pulling pretty hardcore. If I was under, doing that would be damn hard. But if you get the option, go under!

I just hate being able to see the dentist's face as he pulls and yanks on my tooth and yet I'm not able to feel anything. It's a very uneasy feeling for me, I keep thinking something is going to happen and I'm gonn end up in a lot of pain. Never does though thank god!

bloody hell this hurts :(
