As bad as what these guys are doing is, I must wonder how many legit 13yo kids ask to hook up with 40yo men. Is this really the problem they are making it out to be?

This is unreal. I am shocked at the amount of men that showed up in a 3 day sting. I am utterly disgusted and if this bring ratings so that they keep doing it, wonderful. So far 50 men arrested and 49 charged.

What's really fucked up is if its their first arrest, because they weren't real kids, all they can get is attempted and the max is only 4 years.

The judicial system needs to get their lockup times up to date.

You know what else is unreal? When you think that they did that sting just in one specific area. Imagine if they did the same sting in EVERY major city in the US and Canada for the same 3 days?

I hazard a guess they would net about 25,000 sick fucks with a comprehensive sting of that magnitude.

And I bet that's just the tip of the iceberg.

You're right CD. If they wanted to they could take down 6 figs nationwide easily. The problem is they don't that the court and prosecution resources, nor enough jail space, to handle arresting and imprisoning long term that many people.

It already takes forever to prosecute people even in major crime cases.

Sad to say but that's why these guys take the chance, because they know the odds are in their favor.

The show should be airing weekly and they should setup teams in every major urban aera to get thoses sick fucks busted... take the best part and mix them. That'd be a great tv show and a very usefull one.

i watched it last night - I have never seen or heard of this show and I was shocked at the amount of guys they trapped - what was really sad is the guys that saw the cops outside and still came in - these guys are not the smartest bunch - I feel really bad for the high school teacher - his whole career and life destroyed in that moment - foolish and deserves punishment for this action - how can he be trusted with children again after this? I am glad there are sting slike this going on - it keeps these guys from getting to the kids - horrible to think there are predators going for sex with kids out there like this at such a huge number - parents take notice and teach your kids to be careful.

This should totally be a weekly event....The amount of predators out there is as scary as hell. Parents really need to wake up and monitor what their children are doing.

Ummm... I may be alone on this but this is kinda messed up. Sure these guys are fucked up and looking to do something illegal perhaps. But I can't help but feel that they are totally being baited and charged for a fantasy. I say fantasy because the teenage kid they are trying to hook up with doesn't even exist. Now if there really was a 13 year old girl talking to an adult man and her parents found out or something and the cops lured him in and arrested him that's one thing. But dateline is a damn tv show, should law enforcement really be cooperating with them like this? It reminds me of that tom cruise movie where people get arrested before they even committed the crime. It's a bit creepy. Although at the same time those guys are fucked up and deserve it. lol I just do not like the method. I get pissed when I watch cops and they have the fake prostitute who is a cop and they lure men in and then arrest them. Meanwhile 2 homes and a few cars probably were broken into in the same neighborhood while they were acting out this huge sting. Of course it's hard to compare men looking for sex with a child and sex with a hooker.

I agree but then we would have to build more prisons to house all these lame ducks. I think some of these pedo guys just need to meet the dad's and/or brothers of these little kids they are trying to meet for a little marshall law. :)
