Whos going to Mardi Gras?
 

We booked our hotel room a week before Katrina. Non refundable.

I called a company the other day, to get some custom beads made up for me. Some of you got them last year in Miami, and a few in Vegas.

I called and asked for the person who handled my last order. They said they had'nt heard from him since the storm.

Their business was located in a 12 ft flood level area and was now running out of shipping containers. They said most of there beads were looted and were struggling to fill orders, which were coming in... which they said was a good sign.

Anyways, since I had beads made before, they allready had a diecast made to print the medallions on them, but it took them a few days to locate it becuase it was in the warehouse where they used to work out of.

Apperently the diecast that will be making our next order was under 12 feet of water in the flood, and recovered from what was left of their warehouse.


Anyways...

We will be there.....Anyone else going?

i would charge it back if they didnt refund me and i didnt really want to go, you know without a signature there isnt a whole lot they can do.

I was just looking at AA for good deal to New orleans. How busy do you think its going to be this year?

We sent in $1000 check and Kiwi helped raised another $1000 for red cross, that money probably will not see the hands of the people that really need it.

Charging back on the hotel would be a pretty heartless thing to do i think, especially if the hotel had no-refund policy to begin with.

New Orleans needs all the help they can get, and that means spending money in New Orleans.

If we decide not to go, we wont... but i doubt id do a chargeback. I allready claimed that money on taxes anyways. haha!

Mardi Gras in full swing... 5 days of hand grenades, titties, beads, and debauchery. It is quite packed here on Bourbon. 1/4 less people they had last year id say, but all the hotels that have working rooms, are booked.
