Programs to use with a merchat account?

I am wanting to open a merchant account and I am wondering what programs there are available that will work similarly to ccbill or verotel; sales/member management, content management, referral, shopping cart etc, with your merchant account so no third party billing company is needed..

are there any that you can just buy straight out and dont need to pay monthly for?

If anyone could help me out I would SO appreciate that.

NATS for your affiliate system.. or bring on a programmer as a partner

There are various ways to do that, but doing it 100% on your own is not always best.

Without many months or years of processing experience you would not have a very good database set-up of bad customers, fraudulent cards, etc.

Payments made online must go through a "gateway".

The two main options are:

#1, use Netbilling.com They take your merchant account and run the transactions through their gateway. That system has been in place for years and years so they have a very big database of bad card numbers, guys that chargeback often, etc. They do adress verification, fraud scubbing, etc... all for just a few cents per transaction (on top of the % your merchant bank takes).

#2, use the gateway that comes with the account. Most of these are not set-up to handle passwords and affiliate programs, they just handle the actual charging of the cards. To handle passwords you need more software. There are tons of them out there..... some good some not so good.

In any case you will have monthly fees. All gateways have fees and you can't process online without one. But overall the fees average less than 5%, so you do much better than a 3rd party biller.
