thats the way i do it now actually. of course, my passwords are in 'codes' that only me and my man understand (in case i were to pass away suddenly, he'd be able to access anything he needed to).

Not so secure when the encryption algorythm they use is publicly known. :2 cents:

ok, wait, youmean i just bought this a month ago and spent hours upon hours loading all my passwords into it and now I shouldn't be using it? damnit!

I have the PortableRoboForm on the USB key, I got it for the simple purpose I can unplug it when it's not in use and I feel it is safe.

Isn't the encryption algorythm still dependent on my password like PGP? so regaurdless of the algorythm they still need to know my password to find the variable?

roboform is where its at... i bought a copy for everyone here. :thumbsup

I like Oubliette
the programmer is no longer working on it as of Oct 2005, but it serves it's purpose still. I've been using it for almost a year now, with no complaints.

opera browser is all you really need, it encrypts them also

Sam Granger 02-04-2006 06:09 AM

oh, come on.. you have probably stored some password within your browser already. if you're carrying your USB key on some trip you could easily encrypt it with PGP or something else. I wouldn't worry too much.

Mozilla Suite. No need to use a crappy roboform external app, Mozilla has it built in. :pimp
