My girlfriend asked me what I wanted for Valentines yesterday. I said I didn't need anything.

She told me not to buy her flowers this year, says its a waiste of money.

My boyfriend and I like to pick and choose holidays. We skipped Christmas, but I think Valentine's Day is a go this time around for both of us... and there is a no flowers/no candy rule in place. What a waste.

The only Valentines Day that my guy and I have celebrated (the last two he has been working) we exchanged gifts over a nice meal in a quaint Italian restaurant. I got him a bracelet that matched a chain he already had and wrapped it up in a handsome, handcrafted, wooden box.

I don't know what to get him yet. I think we are just going to spend the money on a nice trip or something like that.

I used to get gifts when I was involved . . . although they were usually some knick knack expressing her love for me or some crap like that
