Best PAYMENT system for an EBAY Seller?

Hey all, i have been trying my hand at the Mainstream world of online business, and it has been pretty nice so far. I had to kind of start over after certain events and i chose to start with mainstream, and it has been pretty worthwhile. I am going into the ebay world, and have a couple of things i would like to get rid of. What is teh best payment system for a buyer? I understand there is a buyer protection with paypal, but none for sellers. I read up on it, and i would like the opinion of some people here. Thanks for your time.

I thought about that, but i read about buyers sometimes trying to pull "scams" like claiming that the product was not as described in order to get refund or claim that there was nothing in the box, while they keep the product. I just want the best way to protect myself.

Many people say the samething. I want to know what the alternative is though. I am probably going to end up with Paypal. People say Paypal is bad, but they don't really have any alternatives or they have few.

What he said. It doesn't matter if another system is 'better', ebayers for the most part use paypal and many simply won't use another system even if you offer it. Make a different system a 'requirement' and you get fewer bids. Just be careful with it and make sure you empty the account daily.

Appreciate the feedback. I thought of that. Paypal has a thing for freezing accounts. lol

I've had my account frozen twice. Once was years ago when they first opened because I sent two $3000 payments to the same person back to back. Was a flag to make sure it wasn't stolen money. Second was a security check recently after I pushed hundreds of sales through it in a short time and had a couple of complaints, faxed what they asked and it was right back. The people that had their accounts frozen around here probably had adult going through it and that is a giant no no.

Paypal, just protect yourself by only shipping to confirmed addresses. They do have sellers protection I thought. You can always send with return receipt etc so you have proof of sending the item after they paid via paypal.

As a seller on ebay you don't have a choice. If you don't use PayPal as a seller on eBay you won't get as many bidders and the price(s) you get will be lower. Last statistic I heard was that 90% of eBay auctions are paid for with PayPal.
