Who wants to build my blog?
 

Tomorrow (Feb 1st) is the first day of my year long exclusive contract with Twistys. One thing that I've been wanting to do (and this seems like the perfect opportunity to do it) is to have my own blog. A place where I can discuss shooting some of the hottest girls in the industry for one of the biggest and most successful Glamour/Babe websites on the planet. A place to share a little bit of what goes on behind the scenes as well as some pics from my shoots. Might even throw in some behind the scenes pics and some photography tutorials just for fun.

So, I'm looking for someone to help put this blog together for me. Specifically, I want someone who has some experience building blogs and someone who has some nice samples of their work to show.

Dayummmmm - so no designers here at GFY want to build my blog huh? I guess I'll check out some of the other boards. I'm sure there is a talented designer somewhere who wants my business (and my money) :thumbsup

DC, if you need help building the blog, I'll be happy to help you; or are you wanting to pay someone to build/set it up for you (as in turnkey)?

Sign up for hosting with baddog, have him install this cool little tool he has (he'll know what I'm talking about), pick a domain, and you can set up your own blog in LITERALLY 3 clicks.

Then just have someone build a template for you, upload to the right folder on the server, click one more time... and there you are.

Dead serious.

I want to pay someone to design it and set it up for me. All I wanna do is sign-in and start blogging :winkwink:

OK - I'm gonna bump this thread till one of you bad-ass designers decide to do some business with me and build my blog :winkwink:

There are a lot of theme sites out there. I would probably not waste time waiting for someone else . . . you can always change it later.

don't forget the fact that alot of the stuff being sold is nothing more than a copied template with a modified .css

Installing is pretty much nothing at all.

go to http://www.wordpress.org & download wp 1.5 (2.0 has bugs)

go to your host admin & create a mysql database.

with your notepad or text editor, open config.php & see the lines for mysql user name, password & database name.. enter the info.

Now ftp the files.

in your browser, go to the domain the blog is on. You'll see a page that says install. click it, POOF!! you're done.


now login & blog.

I'll do it right now & be done in 10 minutes or less, & free...
