Country Music: Yay or Nay?
 

Personally I have found a real liking for country music.

I have a huge music collection but Country is what I typically listen to.

It's ironic that as a DJ my tastes were completely opposite.

I love country music, My partner is into modern stuff so I don't often get to listen to country, we went to South Carolina for a few weeks over Xmas and they ALL listen to country music there, it was a great few weeks without head banging crap!

I like outlaw and old country..Willie , Waylon and the boys.




I got to party with Willie a couple of times, my g/f married his road manager.

Im from Nashville, moved here in 98 touring with a country band. Frequently hang out with what some most who like country would consider celebrities. Last week sat and drank with John Rich, Mark Wills, and Daryl Worley. Have played on stage downtown with Rascal Flatts, and cowritten with alot of big Nashville names most of you wouldnt know... so ya I like country. :winkwink:

Old country perhaps, but after 9/11 its all flag waving, boot in your ass, hickseed mentality crap. :2 cents:

I haven't listen that much country but there are some songs that are not bad.

I give it a big yay myself.

There are some exceptions but to me it's the only real and genuine music out there.

There's something real about it.

does watching Shania Twain videos with the sound off qualify?

That's what I listen to most.

When I'm tired and fed up with the senseless noise this world has to offer, I find myself listening to Kenny Roger's music...
