wordpress plugins dont work

i got some wordpress blogs, and it all works great.
Excet when i try a plugin. None of the plugins i have tried in the past work...
Right now i installed iimage gallery (http://fredfred.net/skriker/index.php/iimage-gallery)

It doesnt work.. i dont get any error messages or whatever, when i publish a post that calls the iimage gallery plugin, i get a 404. Nothing else, no message, no published post, nothing..

This is one example of a plugin that doesnt work, but i had problems before with wp-cron plugins etc. None of the damn plugins work! What is it and how can i fix this?

I hate it i have to do everything manually. Plugins would make it so much easier....

Are you using WP 2.0?
If so, there's your problem.

A LOT of plugins that worked in 1.5 do not work in 2.0.

Maybe there is a conflict with one of the other plug-ins that you have installed.

Have you tried dectivating the others and see if it worlks then?

I would also consider upgrading to WP2.0 but check that plug-ins that you think are a 'must have' will work with WP2.0.

It's strange that there are no error messages!!!

yea it sure is strange.. they should work with 1.5, i think ill upgrade my testblog to 2.0 and check if that helps

The Image Gallery is one of the easy plugins which works right "out of the box" and I have it working fine with both 1.5 and 2.0 versions of WordPress.

If you have followed the install instructions, I guess you must have a conflict with something else, but it hasn't happened to me, so I cannot suggest where to look. Maybe browse his support board in case there is something useful there...

It might be your template.

Try to change to that common template and see if that makes a difference.
