What do I get for $1 a month and why is it so cheap?
Other shitty "pay" sites use deceptive tactics to trick people into so-called "free trials" or "cheap trials" that end up costing you as much as $70 a month! We decided to STOP THE BULLSHIT and put together one of the biggest, most update porn sites in the world all for only $1 a month! No bullshit, no deceptive trials!

You have to admit, that is a damn good idea. Like you say, selling memberships in bulk for a buck to make more money sounds like it'd work :)

The only thing that I'd like to know is how you make all of your money when you pay the webmaster $5 ?? Sure, you could probably count on the member sticking around for a few months with only a $1 monthly fee, but you'd have to keep them for 5 months before you started seeing a profit, even then, that'd have to cover bandwidth and other expenses.

OR do you have exit pops and stuff like that. I didn't see any from the link above.

my guess is that they use the same concept as
email programs,,,, have aggressive sales pages in the members area and also hit them up with daily mailings,,, at least thats how i would do it

The traffic in the memberarea should be almost as good as AVS-traffic (and you know how good that traffic is!). They've already used their card once and can do it again....
I guess it should work but it will probably take a while until you see results.

I guess that you have a point there. Whoever gets a membership definately has a credit card and only spent a $1 to get in. Perhaps they would pull it out again if enticed enough.

how is it any different to a $70 sign up on an average 2 month membership? :).. just the upsells.. paysites are gonna start being mini-malls.

If a surfer is willing to pay $1 and the webmaster earns $5... then why wouldnt you just send the surfer somewhere where they get charged 1.95 or 2.95 and take the $30-$35 payout...

but they renew the membership after 3 days and bill them for a month if they dont cancel it , and i dont think they even know they have to cancel it.

Personally I don't see this as too much different than free, it just teaches a customer to do his best not to pay.

At least the avs guy forked over 15 bucks to get his membership.

But, I suppose time will tell as to just what this will do.

Actually, I think it's brilliant. Sites like join4free will pay $1 for a confirmed email, imagine how much a person who has confirmed credit card that they are willing to use is worth?
