Don't generalize about an entire group of people. There are good muslims just like there are bad ones. Same as Christians, Jews and Athiests.

What you mean is 'there are good people who have some kind of Islamic identity'. Having an Islamic identity is different to being a Muslim.

Just like there are always bad apples, clearly we there are good people in any race (or whatever). We have a lot of Muslims in the US, and note none of them have done anything bad.

After 9/11 some guy in Phoenix went nuts and shot a Muslim only because he was a Muslim. I thought that was horrible.

I agree in entirety... We may have perceived notions or prejudices against a certain group but it does not reflect the truth about those groups.

The crap that sometimes spews out of some folks here on GFY is something that other people on this planet would be shocked to read, cos they have none of these "issues" over us and would give their last food to help us out.

It's all about these "values" that we hear so much of - some folks practice em and others talk about them.

if they would 'police their own' and distance themselves from the extremists a little better they probably wouldn't have nearly as many problems as they do

for instance one local mosque leader (I think the term was 'imam') was caught on videotape raising funds for terrorist groups and even urging the killing of jews. he's being deported now, yet even after all this evidence of his being such a scoundrel he's still getting widespread support from the muslim community in the area! His supporting of terrorist groups and advocacy of violence weren't previously known to his local mosque (supposedly), yet after they found about it they still stood behind him. now why on earth WOULDN'T rational people mistrust that group after seeing their support of the idiot?

Athiests is the only smart ones anyway.

I agree with you... there is not a whole lot of condemnation of these behaviors. in fact, for the most part, there seems to be only quiet support. in my opinion, that is a problem of islam as a whole... not the problem of a rogue few.
