If it is your first MMORPG you will probably enjoy it, but if you are an experienced gamer it is just your run of the mill game.

Like everyone else has said.. dont start. A good drug addiction like coke, heroin, pcp would be much more fun and you'll come away with a more interesting life experience (if you survive).

You wont even realize how big of a loser you are till you blow off some hot chick (whos only fault is she wants to touch your penis) while you finish your quest to get a better sword.

Actually this should be required reading before you purchase the game. Just look at the forums at worldofwarcraft.com. Read them. After a few weeks of playing, that is what you will become. Dont let it happen to you!

The gold in World of Warcraft is so sought after, there are enterprising people in china who will set up warehouses of computers and stock them with slave labor. This is called Gold Farming. These workers do nothing but play WoW all day...for a low wage...in order to make the gold, which the operation owner then sells on the open market...ebay, IGE etc.

What's so addictive about those games? Never played them, probably never will.... but I hear a lot about them... what makes them addictive?

in order to be the best or up there you need gear. in order to get gear you need to play a ton. it wasn't so bad the first 6 months or so when guilds didn't have the big dungeons on easy mode.

also, the game is casual friendly until you hit the highest lvl. so it can suck you in. fun game, just requires a stupid amount of time to get gear. not much skill involved, more a time sink.

Juicy, if you do get World of Warcrack, join the realm/server Eldre'Thalas. I've got 3 characters there, one of them level 60.

Unfortunately the gear you can buy at the AH is pretty much shit. All of the good epic gear is bind on pick up.

That will only get you some fairly okay gear.
If you want the good stuff you need to get down in MC and get dirty.

All Warcraft games kick ass IMHO and yes EXTREMELY addicting to say the least. I haven't bought WOW yet ......just for the reasons everyone is stating above, I'd never get any work done LOL

I agree to a point, but I also have a ton of purple and blue gear just from buying at AH, my Weapon is Kang the Decapitator, been using it from level 44 to 48 (just turned, i am a warrior)

i've play lineage2 allot. its better than wow but damn. thats a lose of time
