So what has that got to do with you? :2 cents:

Because there are public messageboards. Some people think because they interact and hang out at the same place as other people that they are in their league, and that they can critisize them . It's funny how a guy making 30k a year always talk shit on the guys making millions.

Same things goes for celebrities. People talk so much shit on them, but in the end, who's broke and jealous ?

jimthefiend 01-31-2006 10:25 AM

congrats to the winners

StuartD 01-31-2006 10:25 AM

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

for some people, it's way easier to dig and search and put in tons of effort into bringing someone else down, rather than to work hard to reach that same level themselves.

Put it this way, if someone is an 8 out of 10, and you're only a 4.... people would prefer to dig for dirt and try to bring them down to a 4 as well, rather than work hard to make themselves an 8.

If you can do as well as someone else, you'll feel as successful as them... but if you can't do that, then bring them down to your level to feel as successful as them.

When you're driving it's okay to glance in your rearview mirror to see if it's okay to change lanes. However, you must keep your eyes on the road and keep driving forward. The second you take your eyes off of the road you'll crash.

its called "haterism"

if you're good at what you do, people will hate you for it and try to find ways to keep you from doing it. for some its bitching. for others its talking shit to people to try to discredit you.

most people who do that suffer from F.E.A.R.

False Evidence Appearing Real:

meaning they wont try the things it takes to go over the top and be successful becuz they are afraid to fail at them. so, instead, they spend the time bitching and whining to achieve emotional comfort which is normally short lived.

word

really successful people don't spend their lives crying on message boards

reginaldo 01-31-2006 12:21 PM

they get bored with themselves... and your business is cooler than mine anyway

GlydeGirl 01-31-2006 12:26 PM

People can easily see through the bullshit that these losers like to propagate all over the boards... it's kinda like back in highschool when there were those few kids at the back of the class who made complete jerks of themselves to get attention rather than do the work it takes to achieve true success.

Ho Hum!

Sometimes other peoples business with other peoples "business" interferes your own business.

i still think I'm right - mildly successful people bitch all the time. people running successful companies and making millions don't have the time to bitch here, and why would they?

true successes don't bitch here every day because they've got better more profitable ways to use their time

that said, something about the adult industry does seem to bring the whiny bitch out in every one. you don't get this on mainstream forums except from total losers

"haterism", and "jealousy" aside. Sometimes when people call someone out it is just what it is, calling someone out.

If what people are saying about you does not apply, then shake the dust off your feet so to speak and move on. The more you deny it, or argue with it the more it looks as if you think it does apply to you.

HOWEVER don't live your life with blinders on telling yourself that the only reason someone points out a flaw whether you believe it or not that it's only "haterism, or "jealousy."

Sometimes, the emperor wears no clothes and people just don't like to hear that. Not just the emperor, but his followers as well. And what sets these people off are that if they come to realise the emperor wears no clothes, then it says something about who they are by following this person and commending him for his fine choice of invisible gowns and cloaks that day.

Success whether real or not does not equal a good person. There are plenty of rich, succesful bad people in this world and plenty of good flat ass broke unsuccesful people in this world.

I guess it alll boils down to what you define as success. Me, it's not about how much money you've accumulated, but what obstacles you've overcome in your life to accumulate the things that matter. Respect, friends, etc.

I respect the bag boy with down syndrom who works at Albertsons, more than I respect some guy who has been able to accumulate a million dollars.

What I don't understand is why various people feel the need to share every aspect of their life with GFY and then get all bent out of shape when GFY decides to pry into that persons "business". I'm not pointing any fingers or accusing anyone in this thread, but I see this ALL too often.

Look people, if you want the skeletons to stay in your closet, then shut the fucking closet door.

Brujah 01-31-2006 12:38 PM

Is this about the Fusker + Fleshlight thread ?
fucking-around-and-business-discussion/568087-fleshlight-accepts-fusker-sites.html

If so, I'll respond.

I'd say it's because they don't want "trusted" sponsors supporting Fusker sites which steal your own webmasters/affiliates bandwidth, while competing with them for the sales. Fuskers steal content from content providers, sponsors, to promote OTHER sponsors. Fuskers can bring a server down in some cases. This isn't "other peoples" biz, as it directly impacts the people complaining about it too.

I think "whining" here is not really meant just as "whining". It's more like "No one should give a fuck who we do business with, legit or not".

i agree. i don't understand why people would share their lives on a public forum full of strangers

what really confuses me is when people talk about members of their family dying for example. really not the place imho

if you dont have lots of friends, you share such things here, since you feel the need to share it with someone, i'd say

BlackCrayon 01-31-2006 12:59 PM

yeah, like most said usually its jealousy but sometimes its warrented, for example that guy who made people sign up to his sponsors to get access to his site. and when people see fleshlights for sale on torrent sites with 100's of full site rips and such, people tend to see it as supporting content theft.

jayeff 01-31-2006 01:00 PM

Unless you are talking strictly personal stuff, there is no such thing as other people's business. Everything else, if it doesn't affect someone directly, affects them indirectly.

No-one enjoys criticism, but it's a heck of a lot more useful than being told how wonderful you are. You don't need praise, because even if it is sincere, by definition you are already doing what your fans want. The things people don't like are the things which are costing you money.

Anyone who is near as smart as some of the "gurus" in this thread seem to think they are, should have the confidence and ability to judge negative comments on their merit, not on their source or the motive behind them.

Fusker sites live off being illegal (coypright theft). Just like warez and CP sites.

If sponsors wouldn't support Fusker sites, not very many would be around. Which would mean that webmasters could spend their bandwidth on more useful things, like making more money.
Not all webmasters are protected against them either. So those webmasters could spend their time on more useful things, like making more money.

Since Fleshlight accept bandwidth and copyright thieving sites. Do you also accept warez and CP sites? Illegal as illegal, right? Where do you draw the line?

there's very different levels to illegal of course. a punch in the face and stab in the face are both illegal, but quite different...
