question to php/mysql programmers

how much would it cost to create a backend like the one shown at http://www.cs-cart.com/demo.html and about how long would it take you?

darksoul 01-31-2006 09:36 AM

lots of money and lots of time.
You better buy that one its only $125 :)
to get one custom with all those features expect about 10k and 2-3 months
turnaround

I submit to DarkSoul's estimation... (that if you code it from scratch).

agreed just buy one already made, no need to reinvent the wheel

keep in mind that 2-3 months is development only, no testing

StuartD 01-31-2006 10:08 AM

Does that answer your question?

CS-Cart looks like a modified version of OSCommerce - http://www.oscommerce.com from where I sit.

Yes, you can sale software under the GPL license. So long as you provide the full source.

Cogitator 01-31-2006 10:59 AM

fallenmuffin is right. It looks like a tweaked oscommerce thing. oscommerce is free.

i don't plan on reinventing the wheel. i'm asking because my friend has an html template and will need a good backend for it. cs-cart was the best working example i could find. i assume it would cost about $5000-$10,000 for this kind of backend?

Hit me up if you are still interested. It wont take as long as 2 months and we will even comment the code if you like. Thanks
