IP banned WT
 

:mad: my ip address was banned but my account was not. i contacted the gfy admin email to correct the situation and have no reply for almost a week.

Why would my ip be banned? How about an answer? WTF?:mad: :mad:

I think it was just a mistake but I cannot get a reply from anyone at GFY as to what the hell is going on!

sometimes it's a range that gets banned, which menas that you're probalby an innocent victim

use a proxy untill this gets fixed, what's the big deal?

No Proxy, just strait DSL from a local provider. Why would the IP be banned? Why can't I get an answer from anyone?

Hmm, well, in that case if you're not using a proxy, they might of wanted to ban another users ip and got yours mixed up with his. But yeah, thats the only thing I can think of. Best to wait for an admin to answer.

Don't remember seeing your email, but then again I get probably over 1,000 emails and icq's a week concerning GFY. I did check and an IP range that you have posted under has been banned for quite some time due to Kyle Hoppes and his 40+ fake nicks. It's been that way for over a year it seems. May take some doing to just get Kyle banned and not just you, but I'll see what can be done.

At least for an answer. I had to log in from Miami. Nowhere in TX worked.

I got back two days ago and it the ip was still banned. Today I logged in through a anon proxy and it worked but was too slow to really use (sort of like dialup or worse) turned the proxy off and now everything seems fine. I guess that someone did something.
