Werent skins supposed to be something special?
It's like theres a new skin every time I visit the website, gfyers are subconsciously being trained to ignore the skins now.. Wouldnt skins get more attention if they were done in very low doses?
|
Are you going to tell someone no with 10k cash waving around?

As far as the effectiveness... It would be best if there were longer gaps between each one, but if a company is willing to shell out the cash, then they can't be denied. |
Are you kidding me? How can you look at this eye-searing headache inducing train wreck of a skin and say its not 'special'?
|
argh....i am having a headache...this skin is killing me...
|
Not so long ago, having a skin was seen as something radical and "special". Not so much anymore. The only skins that stick out in my mind are the old Epic Cash one where pimpdog was allowed back and the more recent Rage Cash one.
So, marketing-wise, I guess you could look at what remains "top-of-mind" and conclude that a skin has to be accompanied by a concentrated or innovative marketing effort rather than just the change of colors and a couple of posts on a board. |
I agree that it would work better if there was gaps, but... people are willing to pay fori t anyways. demand and offer...

is it really 25 grand to skin gfy? if so, then fuck what i said about it being special, it'd be retarded to turn down 25 grand
|
You can't please everybody..I don't mind it at all
|
It definitely grabs your attention. I'll give it that. When I first hit the board 30 minutes ago after being away all day I was like "whoa.... new skin!"
I guess with a name like Freakbucks the skin has to be, well.... freaky. :D |
