Was not me. Primary reason I did not participate this year. After two years of trying it and sending out some very nice stuff, I received a design offer that was never even filled and thats it.

you know, all these unhappy secret santa threads need to be brough up next year when they try and do it again.....i seem to recall someone else getting shafted (sent some bootlegged video game), and that was from the persons roomate who was throwing the secret santa thing....and no one got in trouble or yelled at...pretty shitty and shady shit going on if you ask me

I participated in it the first year, it was a lot fun. Stayed away from ?gfy secret santa? since gift wishes and amounts were stipulated.

That totally sucks. Who ever did it should fess up and say sorry or something. It's okay if you fucked up, just say sorry and make up for it. You will get more respect for at least saying something. tASSy and Halcyon are very nice giving people. They should not be treated that way at all. If I knew about teh secret Santa I would have played but I guess I was so busy I missed it completely. Oh well. :disgust

I saw these chairs that are very low to the ground and they are hot pink. They were only like $10 each. They would look great on a fuck set for you guys. I will see if they are still around and if they are I will send ya a secret Santa gift! Although it won't be a secret we can just pretend! hehe

You have to be kidding me? People on this board, good people, are scammed constantly by other people here while trying to do business. Is it any suprise that people would be leary of taking part in a gift giving as well?

HAHA yea right. The more people involved the better chance of getting screwed. If everyone is involved that means more of the honest people will send gifts while more scammers under fake nics will collect them and sell them on e-bay to pay for rent.

A better idea is to make it exlcusive with only known names that can easily be heald accountable for their actions. Not open to roomates of webasters, count trollula etc. :2 cents:

Well then more good people get involved. I agree with that part, didn't even think about it like that. Only proven people and more of them and voila we will have an awesome Secret Santa. That is why I said if the people who didn't want to get involved because of the scum got involved it would help. I just didn't put enough thought into my idea. I would hate to see it go away, so us true GFY family member's coming together to think of better ways is smarter than just saying fuck it!

I just mailed out a ton of swag around the 1st of Jan. I mail out once a month so I will be mailing out another shipment this week. So how long have you been waiting? I can't mail out every time someone request something. I would spend all day every day going to the post office. I already have about 50 packages this month to ship to all over the world. It's not like one or two people request this stuff. This board is huge and we do a lot of mailing and offers and contests. If you have been waiting for longer than a few weeks then you need to e-mail me again because your order was not placed or got lost. I get about 5 packages on average back every mailing and I always e-mail the people when their packages are returned and never get a response. Correction, one person this last shipment replied with a new address.

Hey it's a cool freakin' tradition and we enjoyed seeing all the threads about the gifts. Truthfully, we were hoping for a paper ipod...but it's no biggie. :) I already feel overwhelmed with gifts. :)

I've never been involved in a deal like this, whether it's online or real life, that somebody didn't get screwed over. This is the third year I've watched this happen here (I think). It's always a clusterfuck.
