Cashing a check after its VOID date

I have a Linksys rebate check that is "VOID AFTER JAN 25, 2006"

I'm sure they won't send me a new one. If my bank doesn't notice that, can it be returned by Linksys' bank?... or is it just up to my bank?

Screaming 01-30-2006 12:09 PM

Ask for a new 1.. You cant cash that..

you shouldn't have any trouble... deposit it.

Tom_PM 01-30-2006 12:21 PM

Yeah go for a deposit. At worst they'll send it back to you I believe.

In case anyone cares to know, I took it through the drive-tru window with several other checks and the teller didn't say a thing.

It is up to your bank, at least in my opinion.

Try consulting the experts about this item. You might lose such a big cash...

i've done it before thru my banks atm, didnt have a problem

aren't most of the rebate checks you receive void after 60, 90, 120 days? why would you hold onto it sooooo long?

woj 02-01-2006 05:57 AM

I would hire a lawyer to resolve this for you...
