I started working on an ipod porn site at filthyipods.com, it seems like more of a novelty for some people to have rather than a serious market for now... who knows though with the PDA, cel phone, and portable gaming systems slowly merging together it may turn into something real a few years down the line. I think the only point in starting a site like that now is established name and a foot in the door when the real thing hits

its bad enough i surf most of the day trying to learn enough to start a site let alone watch it on my ipod. Just seems to be a little niche there though.

The market might also implode, when nobody wants to buy the iphone porn that entrepreneurs have invested their money to develop. Who the hell is going to watch porn on little small screen during the morning commute?

I think you guys are really missing the boat on this one. Yesterday I setup a webserver. I installed Videora (free video encoding software) on a computer and let it re-encode some porn overnight. In the morning I had a folder full of .mp4 files.

I made a little php script that listed out all of the files with a link to each and in less than an hour I had my own iphone porn website. I point mobilesafari to my webserver's ip address and pick a movie from the list. The video quality is great, the stream takes less than 4 seconds to start from when you press the link, I can seek throughout the the movie, and there is only a few seconds of buffering time.

Now this was over my local wifi, so I tried it on someone else's internet, and it still worked great, with slightly longer buffering times. Over the AT&T EDGE network, it is not possible to stream video of this quality yet, but perhaps the video quality can be reduced even more to work over EDGE.

So perhaps you guys are right and there is no market for this, but it is damn cool. I guess at the end of the day the average person who wants to stream porn to their iphone could just install something like ORB, download the video clips from you guys in whatever format, and depend on orb to reencode them to a format the iphone will like.

For someone who already owns content: just run a few movies through an iphone video converter software, and put up a webpage to the files, you could even handle billing through a 900 number. the iphone's browser is able to link directly to the phone, so you can have a link that says 'press here to dial the 900 number to subscribe to this site'.

If I had content I would attempt to make this myself. If anyone still wants to pursue this pm me, maybe I can help...

Also, why are there not 1,000's of Apple TV porn feeds? Here you have a device capable of delivering high def video to regular people from a simple interface, but nobody is really using it.

Porn used to be the innovator of technology, but lately, I think you guys are slacking.

ipod would be a great place to make money.
