The news is running with this story. Even saw it on CBS Evening news...

What? The Bush Administration try to censor people? Try to suppress information?

Surely this HAS to be a joke!

Yep... I just can't see how the great president Bush could do that... he must be right 100 % of the time

Well, since the scientist in question IS the TOP scientist at NASA for climatic study you can't say he's a small fry or tinfoil hatter.

Whoa freaky timing. I was just reading Jeff Master's Weather Blog on this subject.

Fucking unbelievable the White House wants to shut this guy up just because he is acknowledging the effects global warming is having. WTF??

Oh, that blog tells it like it is! I can't believe this country has degraded to a point where we're living in what the Soviet Union or Red China used to be!

We're turning into a country of cowards who've forgotten who the boss is!

This Republic was formed with rights that were guaranteed IN ORDER to form a more perfect union. In other words in order to get our ancestors to AGREE to let the leaders back then form the country. NOT the other fucking way around. Now it's like 'fuck you we rule' attitude.

Chicago is averaging almost 40 degrees for January.

Yeh, Dr. Jeff Masters is great. I found his blog about hurricane forecasts when Wilma was zooming in. He's really on target and accurate with his storm analysis reports.

And yeh, beginning to feel like we are living in more and more of a police state.

50 degrees in Michigan in the winter?????

Last night on C2C a guy said there was no more ice at the north pole. I went to the maps and sure enough the ice is gone. There's still lots of polar ice but it's thinning quick.

directfiesta 01-29-2006 09:51 PM

I just hope we do not become like you guys with our new leader, mini-bush ( S. Harper ).

DWB 01-29-2006 09:54 PM

That's fucked up. You can probably count the days until that guy ends up dead from a car crash or something. Either that or the story will just die and you will never hear about it again. That's the american way.

Well he is a universtity of Iowa grad wow.... :uhoh

It seriously cracks me up when anyone cites a 1 degree tempeture increase over 100 years. Lets see Urban Sprawl? Millions of miles of black pavement that were not there. Cities made of steel and concrete. That should = at least a 1 degree increase. Now how bout the A:Quality of equipment they used to measure the tempeture with, and B:The frequency that records were kept. Have you ever seen a thermometer from 100 years ago? They were FAR from eficient. Now lets look at C: Who was keeping these measurments? Global warming is a ffin joke. For those old enough to remember the 70s maybe you recall the Ice age scare? Thats right these same brilliant minds of science were saying there would be an ice age because of all our hairspray use. *rolls eyes at loons* Btw this guy IS NOT the top scientist at Nasa.

Suppression is tantamount to oppression!

Did Mr. President forget the fundamentals of democracy?

I suspect their thermometers were fairly accurate, considering they're calibrated by the freezing temperature and the boiling temperature of water which most likely haven't changed.
If they have changed that's something else to worry about.

So you think they were accurate, and they checked tempetures with the frequency we do today? :1orglaugh
