i smoke 2 packs per day thats like way too much.....i wanna quit, and need some help

I smoked on and off for almost 30 years and I quit cold turkey. It's not that hard to quit if you really want to. Use the patch, nicotine gum, whatever works for you. There is a ton of online resources out there for you if you are serious. If you happen to relapse, just quit again. Better to try and fail a few times than not try at all.

I had to psych myself up to do it. Get through the first day. One day at a time. I chewed through a few bags of sunflower seeds the first couple of days :) I just kept going, and when I wanted a cig, I reminded myself how many smoke free days I had under my belt and didn't want to fuck it up for 1 lousy cig. You can do it if you want to. The alternative is life on the oxygen bottle in your senior years. Not a pretty sight. Gasping for breath. unable to get around. That is what happened to my dad. He has COPD thanks to RJ Reynolds and his unwillingness to quit before the damage was done. He doesn't smoke anymore. So you see, quit now with your health, or quit later after you have truly fucked yourself up beyond recovery.

if your tough and have a really good friend you can do it in a weekend. it starts on friday night everytime you want to smoke you tell your friend you get slapped hard in the face. once your brain associates smokin with pain. you will never smoke again.
