Best computer chair on the market, or best place to buy a computer chair?

This computer chair is four years old. I need a new chair. My ass is starting to feel the screws that bolt it together from below and it sucks. All the padding is flat. I need to get a good chair but I'm not into that futuristic shit because I heard it sucked? My budget is probably $400. You can't buy ghetto when you sit half the day! Any one got any opinions for me? I appreciate it thanks!

WalMart. 100$ and spend the other 300 on a nice night out with your wife.

Not married? take someone elses wife out.

Best chair for you is the one thats the most comfy under your ass... Go out and try a bunch and see what you like is always what I do.. I have had some $99 chairs that last me a couple years that are just a confortable on my ass as others who have spent alot more on one..

You just have to try them out and you'll know pretty quick. The $100 chairs usually don't have the extras that i like but you shouldn't have to go beyond $300. Most office stores have one good one.

Best chair I ever got was $70 at Samsclub.

Ohh and I took someone elses wife out with the money.

Office Max and Staples have nice cheap leather chairs. You can go in and try them out.

Are the Aerons just a fad / nerd status symbol or do they actually work well? I find that I slouch and am afraid another year will put my back into shambles.

Definitely an Aeron. But if you're going to get one, get the best - the chrome, lumbar support, leather, the works - you won't regret it (I personally guarantee it :)

It depends. If you are in it 8+ hours a day, I'd suggest an Aeron. But I'll warn you, once you go there, there is no going back. Other chairs will just feel weird.

Two things I won't skimp on, my desk chair and bed. Spending 16+ hours a day in those two.

If you can afford, get the Aeron chair.
