Visiting Europe its easy to forget the past
While driving around The Netherlands its easy to forget what happened there almost 60 years ago, but driving to a farm to see a horse I drove by this and after seeing what was written on the last grave I had to take some pics of it.
Lot fo respect to those who fought in WWII http://www.landofvenus.com/dance/grave6.jpg |

I spoke to a German last weekend who was fighting in WWII. He was 18 at the time and ended up as a POW in Normadie, escaped twice.
I could've listened to the mans stories all night. Quite amazing to hear what they went through. |
You were up north right? Friesland boppe!

When ever i visit family back home in Europe its hard to drive 5-10 miles through any city, even small cities without seeing a military graveyard.
But i have families in the countries that had the most casualties during the two Great wars, dont know how it is in other European countries. |
i think i've been there before

Yes, I was up in Friesland...Its where the Friesian horse is from :)
