daughter dropped my phone into my water. no more sim card heh.
remember precell phone days when you knew peoples phone numbers? |
I don't even remember my own cellphone number, much less anyone elses.....
|
I used to have hundreds of phone numbers memorized, now I know mine, and that is about it.

Yeah the phonebook option has definitely made me lazy in attempting to memorize phone numbers. I just recently learned my husband's phone number, but prior just relied on the fact that it was stored. One day my phone was dead and I had to call my mom for his phone number, I knew then it was time to put a real effort into memorizing it. Lol.
|
I only remember the numbers I don't want to store.
|
I have all the numbers in my rolodex as well..
|
I know about 3 including my own. The rest I rely on my phone to remember them.

I got the phones on my VOIP, and 2 of my cellphones. I only know a handfull of them.
|
I used to be real good with numbers. Remembered all the phone numbers we had since I was a kid.
Then I started getting high...LOL After a number of years doing that I of course stopped. But now, I can barely remember my own number. Drugs are bad children, m'kay? |
nowadays we have to remember passwords...
|
Rely on my cell phone for numbers except for just a couple. I have it synced up on my computer though in case I drop my phone in the water again.
|
You need to take out some type of insurance on your daughter. First your laptop, now your cell, what's next?!
|
I use both for remembering numbers.
|
I remember only a few numbers, if I lost my phone, it would probably be as bad as losing my wallet....
|
I did this to my phone last week. Thankfully, it was a Windows smartphone and sync'd up with my Outlook.
Picked up a new Blackberry 7105 and had all my contact info loaded into it in less than 5 minutes. |
I only know numbers of people really close to me; others I have no clue. The funny part is I just dial the #'s of the ones I know instead of selecting them in my list.

This might cheer you up if it was a T-Mobile phone. This may only be true on the sidekick 2s. Last year at Mardi-Gras my sidekick 2 was stolen SIM card and all. I ordered a new one, and put the new SIM card in. Maybe 12 hours or so after activation. All my numbers, and pictures stored on the SIM card were on the new sidekick. It seems to me like T-Mobile dose network backups of the SIM card data. Maybe other carriers do it as well. I could be wrong about where the data is stored, but as far as I know the pictures and numbers are stored on the SIM card.:2 cents:

remember most of them.. well real importat ones
else.. ones that call rarely.. i rely on cell phone and to avoid having that mistake of dropping it in water.. always got a backup copy of it the numbers I mean |

Cell phone. pda, computer + bluetooth... life is good.

That sucks. There is a program out there you can buy called Data Pilot. It allows you to download all your numbers and pics from your phone to your cell. I backup my shit once a month. I've lost too many numbers in the past.
