''An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: sorry, sender mail address must correspond to local mail domain (#5.7.1). Please verify that your email is correct in your Mail preferences and try again.'' Tell the server admin to add the domain you're sending from to the local domains list with the mail server.
check your smtp settings.
Sounds like the settings on your SMTP server are restricting access except if you are on the local domain network.
Are you managing your own MX?
