Dateline has found ratings in the "protecting children" angle, so of course they are going to make it as shocking as they can.

If you take a town of 1,500, you'll hear of very little crime. Then you take a city of millions, you'll hear of a lot of crime. MySpace is the same way. It's so damn big that of course you'll find horror stories here and there, but it doesn't mean that the average person is at risk.
