i have never seen something that disturbed me...

to the point of damn near crying, until about 2 mins ago.

im a member of PETA's website (i love animals ) and got their email about how Trent Reznor (lead singer of Nine Inch Nails) narrated a video for PETA, helping them expose the gruesome cat and dog fur trade in China and how they are treated, handled and then killed.

only took about 15 seconds before i couldnt take anymore and put my hands on my face & covering my eyes saying "oh my god no no no no...no i did not just see that..." to myself.

its the most distrubing thing i've ever seen in my life.

I didn't dare watching it. I have 2 dogs and a bird and I just love them too much... I simply can't stomach disturbing videos (then I get nightmares, like little kids do).
But it is well known that Chinese people are cruel towards animals. Heck, they are cruel against themselves... they kill little girls when are born, because they wanted a boy. They should be nucked, every single one of them (which unfortunately would kill all the pets in the country)

While I sympathize for the animals, I happen to agree with that one hundred percent. Human trafficking is the sickest, most disgusting thing on the planet next to perhaps murder and hurtingchildren. I would like to see a better fight on t his problem, but it doesn't get near enough attention which is sickening

And I won't condone what they're doing, because it would most likely disturb me as well.

But if you were raised in a different culture, under different perceptions / ideals / whatnot, what you watched wouldn't bother you. Fucked up shit happens all over the world, in many "different" places, with no idea the act is wrong.

Oh really? Do you know how much stuff around you is made in China? And how much of it is made by slave labor? It's all good but not if there is animal cruelty. Then we need to boycott them!

I didn't watch the video since I hate seeing fucked up cruelty to animals. saw a video a while back of some people skinning some type of furry animal alive and I think people like that should be skinned alive too.

Also saw a slaughterhouse documentary on the BBC a few months back. Very disturbing. I'm not saying that they treat all animals the same in every slaughterhouse or anything but this stuff also happens with other animals like cows which most people seem to be fine with. You rarely hear people talking about it.

It just seems strange to me that people think that slaughtering cats and dogs is different then to slaughter a cow. Sure, cats are cuter and don't get me wrong, i have cats myself and I would seriously be heartbroken if anything happened to them. I don't like people treating animals like shit but if they slaughter these cats humanely, then, whats the problem?
