Single-question IQ test

The one-question IQ test:

Here's a one question IQ Test to help you decide how you should spend
the rest of your day......

There is a mute who wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action
of brushing one's teeth, he successfully expresses himself to the
shopkeeper and the purchase is done.

Now, if there is a blind man who wishes to buy a pair of sunglasses, how
should he express himself?

Think about it first before scrolling down for the answer...

He opens his mouth and says. "I would like to buy a pair of sunglasses"

If you got this wrong - please turn off your computer and call it a day.

( I've got mine shutting down right now )

Wow, that turned up in two totally unrelated message boards in the space of 12 hours. Talk about your 6 degrees of separation.

It was bound to happen eventually :D
I run a joke site, thus I'm on several email lists for forwarded jokes. This item seemed post-worthy, especially since I flunked it so stupidly. :helpme

Btw, in that "six degrees of Kevin Bacon" I'm only 5 hops away.

The real question is - WHY would a blind man need a pair of sunglasses?

Kinda' renders the question of how he'd ask for them rather moot?

Have you ever seen the glassy damaged eyes that some blind people have? Why do you think Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder wear sunglasses? It's not because they are in the music industry....

I wonder if Ray still has his...

For a while there I thought I needed a new sponsor for it, but I found out this week that I don't.

So, TOUGH TRIVIA will be back soon. I have over 50 good questions stored up.

Watch for it.

I never said I've never seen a blind man with sunglasses.

But I've seen plenty of blind men without.

It's difficult to keep your eyes closed all the time. Try it sometime and see, especially when you are walking around, talking, working etc.

Blind peeps can't tell if they are facing the sun (unless it's fairly hot, direct light) so the glasses are there to protect the retinal nerve, and to protect from the pain that can come from burning different parts of your eyes.

They also can't see dust or other particles so they don't have the involuntary reaction that closes our eyes when something gets near. It's also for physical protection.
