I'm curious, not going to to say why I'm asking don't want to slant anybodies opinion. If you're not US citizen just vote for republican if you're conservative and democrat if you're not. Democrat is often referred to as a liberal or the left. Republican is left. Please tell us if you're from the US or not too.

I've come to learn that there's corruption in both parties but with Democrats it's more LIKELY to be about sex while Republican scandal is more likely to be about money or power. That's why it took the "right wing conspiracy" so long to catch Clinton on something, they were looking for the kind of things they would have done, not what a Democrat would do. Well, I think it's a short sided position to be in porn and "conservative." I see it is pretty lopsided in this "vote." I wonder how well those that voted republican are doing. Are they the more successful adult industry insiders? That is they have money? Republicans are generally more supportive of the rich with their tax breaks. (Regan I think was an exception. I liked him but his attorney general... grrrrrrrrr).

If a republican shuts down the porn industry, (which is impossible and not the goal of the conservatives by the way), you can start another business. If Hillary is in the white house, she will tax you out of any business you are in kill your healthcare while doing it.

I would venture a guess that most of the GFY members who vote conservative/Republican are more libertarian than conservative, but find the conservatives to be more aligned to their beliefs than the liberals.

You've got it wrong on the freedom thing. The republicans speak of less government and many think that means have them stay out of your business. That's not true. The Republicans are all about the family values. Well wonderful, so am I. But the Republicans try to impose their values upon others. They are less government for business unless they don't like your business, which includes adult. It's not just GWB, it was under either Regan or Bush number 1 that the foundation for 2257 was laid. I've wondered for years why it was not being enforced. I guess it needed more teeth. And here comes 44 fixing what his dad screwed up again?

I don't think you're alone in this misunderstanding, I've been yelling for years that I'd rather be broke and free than rich and in prison. Of course rich and free is better but until we get the libertarians in power that ain't likely to happen.

I'm a libertarian, I think the government needs to stay out of everything as much as possible. I guess I'm a more realistic libertarian. We need taxes to build roads and others expenses to improve our standard of living that only a government can do. And for defense and kicking ass when we need to. We need to kick ass in Iran but now we are over extended in Iraq and we are tired of war now. But now we have one we need to go fight.

I know, I'll run for president. LOL What, anyone in this nation can be president, right?

The last time I voted, I did too. That was quite some time ago. I shouldn't be and people will bash upon me for not voting but I got sick of the whole mess. I just don't think it really matters how I vote. It's very painful for me to stand in the lines.... I should vote, I know.

If enough people would take the time to read the positions of all the candidates and get out and vote (maybe even Libertarian), who knows, one day a Libertarian could be elected to congress...

I read the question wrong and fucked up my vote, i voted Democrat and it should be Republican.
