Personally, I have NOTHING against smoking or smokers. I smoked for years and finally decided it was time to quit last year. I say..... if you smoke, cool; if you don't, cool. To each their own :2 cents:

its makes your breath, hair and clothes smell like an over-used ashtray and your teeth turns a nasty shade of yellow.

oh, and you pay $3-$4 a pack for that? :error

does pot applies like you are the smoker? if don't i'm not smoking...
i think that should be matter of your own, that forbidance in some countries is just too silly, i agree that smoking should be forbiden in public transportation and public buildings, but in clubs or on street, it's too much

I smoked for several years but quit.

The last piece of ash I had ever tasted was this:

I always kept a tin of juice next to my bed at night as I get thirsty. My lil sis and her mates had been in my rom smoking and playing my computer one day and little known to me had been flicking their ash on the tin.

I got up in the middle of night and took a massive guzzle of the "ashtray" and OMFG there is nothing in this world that tastes worse than coke and fag ash! Its utterly disgusting and ever since then the smell of a ciggy has made my boulk. Its URGH.

I dont mind people smoking just keep the stink away from me lol!

Commit lozenges worked for me. I never tried the patch or gum though.

heres a secret (and why all those quit smoking products sell):
you gotta TRULY want it. know that you'll get withdrawls and what not. stay really strong for the first 3 days and then take each day at a time.

LOL omg I wouldnt even wish that on my worse enemy. I had to sit and eat dry bread and serial for three hours before the taste even started to leave. It was still in my mouth after 3 days no matter how much teeth bushing or bread eating I did... *cry* oh god the memories...

my aunt has cancer all through her body apparently due to 45 years of chronic smoking. i quit 6 years ago myself. i don't care if people smoke but its a useless habit. you're basically paying money to die and not even catching a real high in the process.

Lol thats true you guys are addicted but Im sure theres a rehab for this sort of thing that could easily have you stopped then you can spend the extra cash on the important things on life.

I smoked cos of peer pressure at school I never enjoyed it and most smokers dont. They just cant be botheed to give up as it takes a LOT of effort (although I quit DEAD easy as I hated it)

The list of 599 additives approved by the US Government for use in the manufacture of cigarettes is something every smoker should see. Submitted by the five major American cigarette companies to the Dept. of Health and Human Services in April of 1994, this list of ingredients had long been kept a secret.

Tobacco companies reporting this information were:

American Tobacco Company
Brown and Williamson
Liggett Group, Inc.
Philip Morris Inc.
R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company

While these ingredients are approved as additives for foods, they were not tested by burning them, and it is the burning of many of these substances which changes their properties, often for the worse. Over 4000 chemical compounds are created by burning a cigarette, many of which are toxic and/or carcinogenic.

Carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen cyanide and ammonia are all present in cigarette smoke. Forty-three known carcinogens are in mainstream smoke, sidestream smoke, or both.

It's chilling to think about not only how smokers poison themselves, but what others are exposed to by breathing in the secondhand smoke. The next time you're missing your old buddy, the cigarette, take a good long look at this list and see them for what they are: a delivery system for toxic chemicals and carcinogens.

Cigarettes offer people only a multitude of smoking-related diseases and ultimately death.

The cancer spread from his lungs into his lymph nodes. From there it spread to his bones and his brain, killing him when I was just 7 years old.

It took a couple of years to kill him, and by the time he was gone, the cancer in his brain had destroyed his memory and he didnt even know who his family was anymore. Hope you really enjoy those cigarettes.
