What was the first videogame you EVER played?

For me the first one I ever SAW was pong..

The first one I ever played was Super Mario Bros. much, much later.

My favorite character is Sonic, dunno why. Probably because the last console I ever had was a Genesis until the Xbox. Never got into the Playstation craze.

Favorite game now (though I haven't touched my Xbox in 6 months) is Halo 2 for multiplayer and X-Men Legends is also awesome.

First game would have been Combat because it came with my Atari.

Half Life, Half Life 2 and their mods have kept me occupied for years.

Ack, details.

Videogame = any game that's electronic that you can interact with.

Not the real definition, but the one I meant...

Besides, don't pinball machines have those screens on em?

dunefield 01-26-2006 08:43 AM

I just found this from a site about pinball's history - appearantly it's illegal in NYC...

Quote:

One of the darkest days in pinball history came about on January 21, 1942. Pinball was banned in New York City because it was viewed as a game of luck rather than a game of skill (ergo, playing pinball is gambling!). To "Celebrate" the ban, Mayor Fiorello Henry LaGuardia (as in LaGuardia airport) smashed a number of machines in front of a largely supportive crowd. The ban lasted until 1976. Free games (replays, matches, etc.) Continue to be illegal in New York City to this day, although the law goes unenforced.

:Oh crap

My fave game to play is still Donkey Kong for SNES.

That's the one I first played... superPong. It had tennis, doubles tennis, and hockey. All were about chasing that little white dot and sending it back to your opponent's side. :D

Pong back in '79 or '80. Then came the Atari 400 and hours of Pac Man. Combat was probly my favorite "multi-player" game until EA made their debut with Summer Games.
