no more WHOIS PRIVACY for .US domains
just saw this in my Name Cheap account
WhoisGuard for .US Domains WhoisGuard for .US domains will be disabled on Jan 26, 2005 and customer's real contact information will start showing on .US WHOIS. This is mandated by the United States Department of Commerce?s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). WhoisGuard can no longer be activated on .US domains as well. If you have any questions, please contact support all the little guys who run TGP's with .us domains from their homes, must be happy :Graucho |

been like that for a while with godaddy.com, they say its because you have to be a US resident to own a .us domain, so thats why your address must be displayed (to verify that u live in the US).

After the cold war it seems that the US has proven time and time again that it is the least "free" country next to China. It's really sad. What do they hope to gain from this?
