Dont you just hate it when people are slow!?
May it be design, hosting, coding whatever. I paid you to do a job for me and I would expect it to be done in a reasonable amount of time. I did my part (paid $!) but i hate it when others take their sweet time. :321GFY

In my experience when a designer says 2 weeks..he actually means atleast 6 weeks

I lose respect for folks that cannot deliver on a scheduled time...if they say 1 week, dont give me a bullshit excuse. Now if the excuse is valid, ok...but if you cant do the work, then dont take the job.

In the 1 year i have been in this biz i have found only ONE person has done what he is suppose to do - IN TIME. (that 1 person is my server admin)
All i want is - if someone say 24 hours - get it done in 24 hours! No need to lie about it and drag it to like a week. |

Schedule is everything. Sadly, in this business, they are more then often not respected. Reason : People work cheap. If you pay the price and go with bigger firms like envision, bruno, wylde etc, you won't be disapointed.

I hear ya.
I do not get pissed if they tell me it would take 2 months to get a complex script done. I won't like it, but atleast I have a time table. I DO get irate when I am told it will take a month, and 5 months later I still do not have it. What pisses me off more is when they e-mail me "final revision" or something implying it's final when there are still bugs which I find in 5 minutes of fucking around in it. I get more pissed when I get a revision back, and things that worked before do not work now. I become livid when things are changed I did not specify, and those I did are not completed on the next "final version". I fly into the atmosphere when it's finally closest it's ever been, and then they forget to code for SFTP, not FTP. I fly off the handle when they do not pay attention, have to make fixes they want to charge extra money for because they do not know how to code for the billing company Verotel versus others. I vow to never do business again with them once I realize every "fix/revision" takes 1-2 weeks for me to see it corrected, or hear from them. :321GFY :321GFY :321GFY |

I once worked in the customer service department where I handled all these complaints from client. Most of the time you would understand why they are so mad because the believe they are not getting there money's worth.

You can't always do it but to me best way to avoid this is to only pay after the work is done.
You still get alot of bullshit but they have the money incentive to get the job done. |
