If you are on COX COMMUNICATIONS and having GFY problems post in here!

I'm seeing a very distinct trend, and I need to check IP ranges. :Oh crap

luv$ 01-25-2006 03:01 PM

haha cocks communicating = GFY all the way.

In all seriousness I used to be on Cox, better than comcast imo...

Ok, let's get back on topic here...

uncjordan 01-25-2006 03:03 PM

I've been talking to VA2K today he is on COX and cannot open any threads.

Kimmykim 01-25-2006 03:05 PM

I'm on Comcast, but I've had massive problems lately... I mentioned them in a thread earlier in the week.

Doctor Dre 01-25-2006 03:06 PM

GFY is loading fast as hell here... faster then ever actually

Juilan 01-25-2006 03:07 PM

Also on Comcast. Typing is delayed as well as page loading.

CynthiaB 01-25-2006 03:12 PM

I'm on Cox and I've been locked out for days. If I try every hour I can make it once, maybe. Been very frustrating! Glad to know it isn't just me

Cyn

Azlord 01-25-2006 03:15 PM

I am, but right now I am at the office. The problems I am having are at the house. But I am a COX user.

it's been "slow" to load a lot this past week, especially in firefox...but it reaches the GFY site...but the pages load in a weird "delay".

OzMan 01-25-2006 03:33 PM

I'm on COX and slow as shit most of the time the last week or two, even timing out in the browser sometimes

On a related note, my productivity has improved over 300% :1orglaugh :thumbsup

lucky1 01-25-2006 03:40 PM

I have COX and for the last couple of weeks I have problems getting to GFY during the day. Sometimes at night there is no problem. It seems that it takes about 2-5 minutes for me to get on GYF and then it runs smooth unless I refresh the page or click on a link from another thread that has been posted.

Damn COX suckers!

Yep, had problems for the last 2 wks or so. Seems worse lately.

I'm on Cox in Las Vegas. Thanks for looking into this.

~Ray 01-25-2006 04:07 PM

this is the first thread that I got to load today.. after 5 refreshes.

Yes, I'm a Cox customer too.

~Ray

the source 01-25-2006 04:09 PM

yep cox user here in az and GFY no workie for me.

Kelvin 01-25-2006 04:10 PM

I am on Cox in Phoenix area, all threads take forever to load, if at all.

What could cause this?

tASSy 01-25-2006 04:17 PM

wheee! yay! TD's so smart, thanks for checking into this - Halcyon hasn't been able to get on GFY for a week now except veeeeeery rarely, and i have had a lot of issues as well. we're obvious both on the 'cox. :winkwink:

TexasDreams 01-25-2006 04:32 PM

I'm doing what I can here on the GFY side to make sure it's not us causing the blocks and delays.

I am seeing a LOT of the backbone hops from Cox that are getting up to 40% loss when I run traceroutes on the individual user's IPs. :Oh crap

Zebra 01-25-2006 04:35 PM

Yup, on Cox and lots of problems the last week or so.

Luc 01-25-2006 04:55 PM

i sale short cox.

Gothbox 01-25-2006 04:57 PM

On Cox here and some days I can't even get to gfy. Been this way for about 4 days now.

mikeyddddd 01-25-2006 05:39 PM

It's slow intermittenly. Sometimes it has a weird delay, especially if multiple windows are open. If I stop and reload the page it usually comes through.

Other times it's like it was a couple of weeks ago. I have noticed the same thing when uploading content with FTP.

If it's Cox, please let us know what causes the problem.

sltr 01-25-2006 05:53 PM

cox here too and rarely get gfy to load for the last several days,

ty

Sly 01-25-2006 05:54 PM

Yep! I'm using Cox and have been having problems.

shermo 01-25-2006 06:25 PM

I've been down most of the week. Occasionally I can get on and actually make a post. :(

FunForOne 01-25-2006 06:53 PM

ditto here

TexasDreams 01-25-2006 07:11 PM

Hmmm... Interesting. If you go to the Cox support site and check just about any location they serve, I see just about all of them with messages like...

"Our technicians are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. Currently, there is no estimated time of repair."

The start date for all of these is also 1/1/2006

http://support.cox.com/sdcxuser/asp/...workstatus.asp

Just pick ANY location from the drop-down menu near the top right.

:Oh crap :Oh crap :Oh crap :Oh crap :Oh crap

glad I use comcast

have the people that are having COX troubles tried using new DNS servers? I had a ton of trouble with comcast before and all I had to do was switch to a non-comcast dns server to surf and my troubles have been gone ever since, not a minute of downtime since then either

toddler 01-25-2006 08:01 PM

I know people who @COX...(and lots that work for cocks)...I do know some folks in their netops though

AngusAl 01-25-2006 08:45 PM

Hey

I have been having MAJOR problems getting GFY to load for over a week now. Sometimes i can't get GFY up and other times i can't view threads either
And the weird thing is that GFY is the ONLY site i am having problems viewing

:2 cents:

HAPPYPEEKERS 01-25-2006 09:49 PM

HAPPYPEEKERS 01-25-2006 10:00 PM

TheJimmy 01-25-2006 10:03 PM

Yes I'm on the valley of the sun's version of c0x and having to hit this mainly with my canadian IPs to get in with any 'functional' speed...

Poppy 01-26-2006 07:16 PM

Slow as heck for me and I am on COX in San Diego. Not literally though...lol

Bunch of Coxsuckers.

~Ray 01-26-2006 07:29 PM

lagwagon 01-26-2006 07:37 PM

I was having a problem the other day and could not even get to gfy for almost two days. now it seems that i can get here but it will take forever to open any threads. sometimes i have to refresh them a couple times.

sickkittens 01-26-2006 07:40 PM

You already know about it but I'll post in here anyways.

<----uses Cox & having alot of problems

Niko Bimini 01-26-2006 07:49 PM

Im on COX cable here in Phoenix and GFY SUCKS the past couple of weeks.

Takes 10 minutes to load the page!

Mr Pheer 01-26-2006 10:40 PM

using COX here in Vegas, GFY has been mostly unreachable for 2 weeks.. right now the only way I can reach it is to proxy thru one of my servers

Mr Pheer 01-26-2006 10:44 PM

well I just noticed its not just GFY, I just clicked to myspace with my proxy, and its like 1000x faster now

avalanche 01-26-2006 11:21 PM

SoCal here and GFY has been slow as shit for a week or two. Half the threads don't open....Thanks for the info.

tical 01-27-2006 01:40 AM
