how do I uninstall Internet Explorer and re-install with my OutlookExpress shit intact?

Not possible

It is sort of a relationship like that of the human host and Alien from the movies.

Repair windows by booting to your Windows installation CD.

Use Windows Explorer to navigate to this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\LONGSTRINGOFNUMBERSANDLETTERS\Micr osoft\Outlook Express

Select all the files, copy them to CD or DVD, reinstall IE and OE

After re-install, navigate to your Docs and Settings folder and copy the saved files back to your new outlook folder.

Works for me.
