audio conversion problems (help)

I have been trying to convert a video from mpeg at 48000hz-16bit-stereo, when it converts to wmv the sound is all crackled...

what the fuck can I do to eliminate this.

use Cleaner XL from discreet media. the best i've used for converting media.

I use Sony Vegas and I have never had a problem converting a clean file.
