What % of your sales is by check?
 

I'm just amazed at the number of people signing up by check.

test, test, test post.

80-90% of checks are returned NFS, fraud, underage kids getting mommys checkbook, fake account numbers, etc...

We get a decent number of check/ money orders for our store. Maybe 5-10% I'd guess.

I get maybe a dozen or two a year if that. Not many, but then I also do not promote that as a viable option unless they are desperate, and whatever. I will then have them send cashier's check, or money order.

I do have one site using Verotel, and they accept online checks. I think I've had one with them since switch that site over to them for processing.

As someone else said, checks are a pain. Unless you are handling them yourself, you tend to have a delay in receipt of payment, if you get one at all and it's not returned NSF.

Good to hear your rocking the WTS check signups with TopBucks! ... but amazed? Most people that signup by check either don't have or won't use CC's on the 'Net. Checks allow you to cash in on an entirely different revenue stream.:winkwink:

Most checks are NOT fraudulent... You can expect to settle appx 65%-70% of the initial check signups through WTS. Plus, any of the bad checks that come back, we have an in-house collections dep't that goes after them. Typically, we'll collect on appx 33% of those that we go after. So, you can add another 10% to your collections..... = collect on 75%-80% of your signups! NO other processor can make these claims... ;-)

We've processed checks for the majority of the largest programs on the Adult'Net since 1997. Do you honestly think they would keep accepting them if they were loosing money? :winkwink:
