Well actually, it could be the only reason needed by some people, whether we agree with their choice or not.

For example, a right-wing Christian mother + father may not want to have a gay child and, whilst i think aborting based on the fact the fetus may or may not be gay, is crazy, it would be their choice to make if they wanted to do so.

If a child of mine grew up to be gay it wouldn't bother me a bit. His or her choice at the end of the day...what right would I have to terminate a life simply because of sexual preference? If it harms no one, live and let live.

I would love to see some politicians & religous leaders get asked that question. Of course they will say that being gay is a choice (so ridiculous - when your 5 year old boy wants to wear his sister's dresses & play with Barbies, he's gay, he's not making a lifestyle choice). But if you could get them to admit that kids are born gay, it's a great question.

Personnally I believe I do not owe this much to the gay community, at least not to be wearing potato sacks is a choice I'd like to credit myself for. I hear they are really productive as far as income goes though. I am not anti-gay or anything, but I'd rather have a straight child if possible, thank you, if not, fine.
