Technically, Belarus isn't a country. It is not recognized by international society (because their president is a dictator)

what? Belarus is a country and recognized by the international community. Maybe Lukashenko is not

je_rome 01-24-2006 05:37 PM

I have never heard of Litva, maybe you mean Latvia. as far as I know Belarus and Lithuania are two different countries.

$tandaman 01-24-2006 05:42 PM

Litva is = Lithuania
Litva is the name with a russian spelling and it means Lithuania
Latvia is a completely separate country
Belarus is certainly a country and certanly different from Lithuania or Latvia

Here is a little lesson:
http://www.gate1travel.com/central-e...tralEurope.gif

South of Latvia / Lithuania is Belarus (it's not titled here)

WME 01-24-2006 05:55 PM

I think the map explained it all.

dr. Gonzo 01-25-2006 03:48 AM

You could as well try really hard and use a map. Or a globe, for most advanced users.

Yeah you are right. Perhaps I worded it wrong.

But because intertational community won't recognize the president, no one does any business with Belarus (except for Russia). So they are pretty much cut off from the rest of the world.

Katrina 01-25-2006 04:08 AM

Natuarally platinum blonde? Hahahaha....dont think so :)
And actually say that Latvia=Lithuania=Belarus is the same like to say that US=Canada=Cuba :)

Theo 01-25-2006 04:23 AM

I didn't say Latvia, I said Litva which IS Belarus and none of you "educated" people were aware of. I wasn't familiar with the Belarus name (not the country) and without bringing it as an excuse it was a RUSSIAN guy that told me on icq litva is lituania cause he got confused as well for a moment, being also the result you get on google I came up with this supposed to be funny thread.

Anyhow not I give any fuck what do you think. :)

darkwood 01-25-2006 04:28 AM

can you accept western union in latvia no problemo

Katrina 01-25-2006 04:43 AM

Anyway i suppose all is about language....different countries in different languages is named different...things like that happens....Litva...in that way is called Lithuania in russian language
