I downloaded the beta. I have a 64bit amd laptop so I am thinking of installing it on that one.

We've been running it since last spring on one of our testing workstations. Why?

How is it? Is it buggy? I have heard stories about the drivers not working for a lot of applications.

Well, it's not as buggy as I thought it would be but there's no way that I would use it as my primary OS........ let's just say it's still got a little ways to go :winkwink:

make sure you have at least 1 gig of ram if you plan on installing it i installed it on my laptop that had 512 and it sucked ass even when i upgraded to 1.25 gigs ram vista was not impressive way too many crashes for my liking there are still alot of bugs for them to fix.

Vista is new trent...

How can one want to use software that isnt planned for release until 2008. Especially windows software.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been staring at the file for a week. Something told me not to install it... that is is the devil... so I didn't.

Well that is a lot for 32 bit processors which can handle a max of 4 GB of memory, but 64 bit processors( which Vista is really made for ) could theoretically handle 16 BILLION( yes with a B ) Gigs of ram.
