Anyone have tax tier comparisons for Canada/USA/other countries?

How much you make, and how much you get taxed oer tier :)

Slovakia: 19% fix tax, no matter how much you make.

cheekycherry 01-24-2006 05:36 AM

Slovakia sounds good. Flat tax is something I think we should have.

England has VERY complex taxes.

Basic rate income tax 22%
higher rate income tax 40%

But then there is corporation tax at a different figure, Value added tax at 17.5%, national insurance (something like 8%)... way too complicated.

any others?

where in Alberta are you located? I'm in edmonton.

The fact that we may do away with income tax (if that new asshat leader doesnt have his way) would make alberta a great haven. but the 400 check is nice in any case.

Myst: http://www.bdo.ca/en/library/publica...TaxRates05.pdf

had some tables for Canadian provinces (page 7 and later have "combined" data). The tax rates might have changed slightly since that was published, but it's in the general ballpark.

Yeah, finland's a great choice.

22,5% (or close to that) mandatory retirement insurance, from gross income
after that taxes, 27,5% corporate tax or up to 60% income tax
(if you pay the 27,5% corporate tax..and take that money, you have to pay 27,5% of that money as 'capital gains')
..of course, not to forget the 22% VAT
Yay!

You can't get *RICH* in finland with honest work. Socialism rules...

Cyprus

10% corp. tax baby!

UtahSaints 01-28-2006 04:40 PM

From my experience when you reach certain levels its not much different. If you consider paying insurance, SS tax and other it all comes down to about 38%

From what I heard, Jeddah/Jedda (a major urban center in western Saudi Arabia) has little or none at all income tax deductions.

What a paradise would that be!

Myst 01-31-2006 04:08 PM

yes that would rule
