ifranview does a great job, but can it also do batches? never noticed that option.... |
i use my own custom actions in photoshop, they also maintain the best quality because of the web based saving compression.
|
yes it can do batches but it does not preserve the quality of the image (best quality for the jpg).
Now I use Photoshop heavily scripted but even that does not completely automatize the work... Egomancer |
Agree with above...
Hi my name is Photoshop and Imageready... learn the scripting, which is fairly simple... your set. |

we batch tons and tons of thumbs in photoshop almost daily, i have a lil custom actions written to add specific changes to thumbs then web base save, it takes 1 click of a button, alot of people use this option, you just have to set it up properly. |

yup it also does watermarks too.. and its free what could be better than that :) |
it can also do batch editing like brightness and renaming as well as conversion , all in one step

start recording a new action do processing save for web (choose settings) close file (choose do not save) stop recording action done! now, just open a bunch of files and choose to batch process the opened files. They will all be saved to the dir you choosed above (in save for web screen). |
Thumbnailer does the job.

Learn a bit of Perl and ImageMagick by far the most powerful!

I think I will write my own program to crop and resize, that way everything will work faster...

"Arles" for sure! http://www.digitaldutch.com/arles/
You can also make pages of thumbnails with it and use it to watermark or label your images, too. Brad |
