Starting a new TGP

Im getting a tgp going (second attempt - I didnt like my first one) - and I want to do it without re-directing surfers away from the links they click to another tgp - instead of the gallery. (Am I right in saying this is a "traffic trade script" doing this?)

I can give my new tgp links from existing sites of mine with traffic, but how can I get ppl who create galleries (not sponsors - but subbers) to send gals to me aswell - and also get my recip in the chameleon and other auto subbing software databases?

Ive seen people post here saying they want people to sub to them - but generally I find the response is quite poor - however - I'd have thought people would want new places to sub to.

Any advice etc would be appreciated.

Advice #1: don't bother accepting submissions, you'll be forever weeding out cheaters and you have a chicken and egg situation with lack of traffic and attracting legit submitters

Advice #2: TGPs without skim are very hard and slow to grow, consider starting with a low skim site instead

agree, run with your own gals. and dont make your site like every other one make it unique. and if its a teen site, rowan has awesome teen traffic ;)

You can go to the auto-submitter sites and request to be added I think.. I'd go partner only pretty quick I think.

with a 0% skim you will have some severe problems driving a reasonable amount of traffic to your site unless your gonna buy a shitload for a couple of months and hope for a really good rep.

1. scripts: http://www.tgpfeeder.com/scripts/tgp-scripts.php
2. be original
3. buy some traffic from choker to get trades going (instead of skimming).

K - Is "Skimming" the same as a "Traffic Trade"?

I only ever work with hard HTML links which I think are fair to both the webmaster and the surfer.

I'd rather swap hard links with other TGPS than engage in any other method - however as Im not familiar with any other method - that may be me just being small minded. (But overall - I dont want to rip off a surfer - as they are my bread and butter - does that make any sense?)

Where's Shemp when you need him? :D

Traffic trading is just that, a broad term for exchanging traffic.

Skimming is where a certain percentage of clicks are sent to a trade rather than the gallery. If you get the percentage right then you have a good balance of happy surfers (good productivity equals more clicks to FHGs which equals more $$$) and a decent sized site with good trades.

It's not always as easy as it sounds.

As I said above, it's going to be difficult to grow a site solely with hard links. TGP traffic is of a lower quality so you need a lot more of it to make a good income. Unless you have a lot of existing contacts to trade hard links with then you'll probably end up with a 3k site making $5 a day. :2 cents:

taking submiters is worth it if you can make it to 2-300 partners daily at least

ilbb 01-24-2006 02:41 AM
