What do you guys think? Will Superman Returns be good?

I was pleasantly surprised of Batman Begins. I did miss the comic style though.

I dont think it will the new Superman looks like a dork

I never felt really excited about it.. Christopher still rocks my world!

I was pleasantly surprised of the X-Men movies. They did a great job with those IMO. I never watched the cartoons or read the comics. Spiderman was great as well, although the first one was the best.

I am really? looking forward to superman now? hmm? I hope they don?t muck it up.

fantastic 4(one of the greatest comics ever) and the hulk both sucked so a popular comic doesnt guarantee success. we'll have to wait and see how superman is done. on a side note, i dont see where batman can go from here without bringing back the joker and transitioning in harley quinn

I didn?t get to see Fantastic 4 yet? but I heard it was bad. So, your post would confirm that.

Hulk really was a? flop. I heard they are making a new one?

fantastic four wasnt genuinely bad like the hulk, it just progressed slowly making it a bore then bam! a 2 minute battle and the movie ends.

CGIs would be better this time for sure but to say whether it will be a better film compared to other fantasy themed movies still remains to be seen. :thumbsup

To me it felt more like the graphic novels than a comic and that was why I liked it better than the previous films.

i think it will be shit , what the hell is it with these bloody movie directors/studios can't come up with any new ideas so need to redo all the old movies , ffs do something different , no wonder ppl download movies instead of going to the cinemas

A new Indiana Jones movie is coming out? that is something new? wait? no it?s not. Okay, not new but a new Indy movie would still be cool!

I am not expecting much from Superman Returns. Somehow it helped that I didn't expect much from Batman Begins and was impressed when I saw it. Besides, I am more a Batman fan than a Superman fan.

I'm looking forward to see what kind of approach they will take on this new Superman movie, considering they casted a sort of new comer. they have a larger room for experimentation.

First one should not confuse what Marvel does and what DC does.
Before DC went slightly insane with the first few batman movies (watchable but very bad for fans) they pretty much ruled the comic movie adaptation market. Marvel at the time and before that could not make a working movie no matter what they did.

As for your side note regarding batman begins. I seemed to see this movie as a batman start over and apology for the first few they made. At the end you will notice they did bring back up the joker and his calling card as well. I do believe and hope they will just act like the other movies never happened. Then on my own personal side notes, Batman has plenty of villians beyond the super well known ones and most importantly he has himself which has driven the comic.

I also do not have high hopes for superman and hope to be surprised like you (batman begins). Yet I do not see Warner Brothers/DC fucking around with their flagship comic hero. Problem I see is superman is an odd superhero unlike most others. So coming up with a suitable storyline that is captivating will be very tough.

I saw the preview it was more of a teaser they didn't give much.
I really liked BatMan Begins it was Dark like the Dark Knight comics.
I don't like having expectations for movies cause your usually let down.
I'd rather be surprised that its good

I am going to see it but my expectations are low.
